Why is LightbulbCheap.ie still allowed to sell incandescent light bulbs? chevron-down

The import of standard incandescent light bulbs into the European Union has been restricted since 1 September 2012. However, this restriction does not apply to certain specialist incandescent bulbs originally intended for professional applications.

These products come from existing stock. LightbulbCheap has been supplying these bulbs since 2010 and offers more than 200 different models.

Will you continue selling incandescent light bulbs in the future? chevron-down

Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee this. Based on current stock levels, we expect to continue offering our range for the foreseeable future.

We also offer a growing range of energy efficient alternatives, including LED filament bulbs.

What warranty do you offer on your products? chevron-down

All products are covered by the applicable statutory warranty. This means that products must perform as you may reasonably expect.

Some products may also include an extended manufacturer’s warranty. Where applicable, the warranty period is shown on the product page.

The average lifetime in operating hours is also displayed for each lamp and may vary depending on the type of lamp.

Does LightbulbCheap.ie have a collection point? chevron-down

Yes. Orders can be collected from our warehouse in Nijmegen after receiving confirmation that your order is ready for collection.

Please note that products cannot be viewed, tested or purchased directly at the collection point.

How do I place an order on your website? chevron-down

Step 1: Select the products you wish to purchase, enter the desired quantity and click ”ORDER” or ”Add to Basket”.

Step 2: Go to your basket, located at the top right of the website. Here you can review and edit your order. Click ”Proceed to Checkout”.

Step 3: Enter your delivery details, choose your shipping and payment method, review your order and click ”Complete Order”.

Each product page displays current stock availability and estimated delivery times.

If all items are in stock and your order is placed before 20:30 on a working day, your order will be dispatched the same day.

If one or more items have a longer delivery time, the entire order will be shipped once all products are available. If you would prefer partial deliveries, please contact customer service

Which lamp base do I need? chevron-down

The lamp base is usually printed on your existing bulb. Simply choose a replacement with the same base type.

Can I use a different wattage for TL and PL lamps? chevron-down

No.

For fluorescent tubes, the wattage determines the length of the tube. A different wattage means a different length.

For PL lamps, the base fitting varies according to wattage, so a lamp with a different wattage will not fit your fixture.

Products may be returned within 14 days of receipt provided they remain in their original condition and packaging.

You may inspect the product as you would in a shop, but it must not have been extensively used or installed.
